What started as a pot of chili and an open invitation inside Dax Lee's Barbershop has grown into one of Oakland's most anticipated annual events.

Every June, 800+ neighbors, food lovers, and local legends show up to watch some of the East Bay's best chefs compete for chili glory, with live music and a full bar to keep things moving.

This ain't your average cook-off.
